"Metamorphosis" by Maria Schulte

"Harmony", the newest show at the Women Painters of  Washington Gallery, is a group show featuring 65 members of  Women Painters of Washington. Awards for the show were juried by the distinguished painter, Alfredo Arreguin.  Among his many accomplishments is inclusion in the permanent collections of two Smithsonian Museums: The National Museum of American Art and the National Portrait Gallery.

The 2013 Annual Fall Exhibition at Women Painters of Washington Gallery in downtown Seattle showcases the diverse talents of 62 member artists who reside in 20 cities in the greater Puget Sound region. The artists, who work in a variety of media including watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media, collage, colored pencil, and pastel, continue the 80-year legacy of excellence begun by the organization’s founders in October,1930.  Show Chairman is Kristi Galindo Dyson, and Co-Chairman is Ilse Remnitz.  Juror for the FINALE! show is Lisa Harris of Lisa Harris Gallery. A reception will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 between 11:30 am and 2:00 pm.
